Ode to Iris Apfel

For me, there is definitely more than one reason to love Iris Apfel.

First, there are her trademark glasses.

And of course, the fabulous, over the top, and at times crazy get-ups that have made her a fashion icon.

There's the fact that she founded Old World Weavers.







And her elegant and sometimes eccentric homes.

And most especially, there is her love of animal prints.

The icing on the cake? Take off the dust jacket of Rare Bird of Fashion: The Irreverent Iris Apfel and you'll find tiger print boards. Now that really makes me purr.
